How many times do we use our emotions to turn a situation in our favor? How many of us can willingly raise our hand a say GUILTY...yes indeed instead of owning up to my wrongs and facing the situation head on...I run and allow my emotions to take control of the situation.
Well i'm here to STOP you dead in your tracks. Its time for us to own up to the roles we play. So let me start by telling you a small story...
In 2014 my husband and I had a disagreement and at the time I hadn't REALIZED that I was emotionally manipulative..but we'll get back to that..So my husband wasn't understanding what I was so adamantly trying to make TRUE...so he removed himself from the room (rightfully so bc I was wrong) but what I did next was PURE DRAMA QUEEN... On the couch in the living room I turned off the TV..cut off all the lights and covered my entire body in the blanket..knowing that when he came from the kitchen he'd be looking for me and see me in that place *Rolls eyes* "Get yo life Kam" is what i'm saying to myself as I share this with you all. lol Now my husband rushed over to check on me, hugged me and I instantly felt like the "WINNER"..smh but I was so terribly wrong.
What I came to realize through an intense conversation with my fellow wives of Christ is that in all actuality I LOST, I CHEATED AND I HAD GOTTEN NOWHERE. My husband begin to see me as a ridiculously emotional creature whom he couldn't talk to b/c he didn't believe I could receive ANYTHING without crying. Ladies (and Gentleman too) We have to take control of our emotions...They don't control us we control them.
Its a crying shame when PRIDE, PAST HURTS, ABUSE, DEPRESSION and/or INSECURITY is playing puppet master WITH YOU! Those matters of your heart are controlling the body EVERYDAY..snap out of it Queen (King)..Take back control of YOUR LIFE. No person, place or thing can have what I wants unless you give in to it.
